Codes that improve visual effects in TF2

I've recently been searching for some code to improve your visual effects and textures on Team Fortress 2.
I started this search actually because I wanted to reduces the lag in the servers which occurred more often eversince the update has been completed.
But after a week of gaming the lag disappeared and I changed my quest, instead of looking to reduce lag by finding codes which would make the quality of the game lower, I started searching for code that allow us to make the gameplay better.

I have found a few code which includes the visual look of the game, but some of them have a opposite effect on the water.
The water will look really bad instead of looking like HD.

Codes will come later when the list is complete , with instructions and conditions.


Here is one to try.


Miplevels : Effect: Makes texture more shiny, doors will have a better shine and shading, but water looks terrible with this turned on.

Code : mat_showmiplevels

default : mat_showmiplevels 0

color-code miplevels

Normal maps : mat_showmiplevels 2

Everything else : mat_showmiplevels 1

Usage :
Bind "KEYNAME" "mat_showmiplevels 1"
e.g.
bind "UP" "mat_showmiplevels 1"
bind "LEFT" "mat_showmiplevels 0"
bind "RIGHT" "mat_showmiplevels 2"

NOTE : It might take some time to get the code working,  its effect can be delayed by the server itself ( with or without lag that does not matter for the code. )
